Roughstock Rodeo is bareback riding, saddle bronc riding and bull riding. A contestant's score is equally dependent upon their performance and the animal's performance.

In saddle bronc and bareback riding, a contestant must "mark out" their horse; that is, they must exit the chute with their spurs set above the horse's shoulders and hold them there until the horse's front feet hit the ground after the initial jump out of the chute. Failing to do so results in disqualification.

A message from the General Manager -

Greetings, It's Fair time again at the Enumclaw Expo and Event Center, and I welcome you to the 2021 King County Fair and Junior Livestock Show.  This year's Fair will have a different look and feel from past Fairs, but we anticipate the activities in the barns, midways, mainstage and rodeo arena will provide a modified Fair for you and your family to enjoy. The safety and health of exhibitors, volunteers, staff, visitors, community partners and vendors is our number one concern. As we progress through the next few months, Fair Management will adjust the schedule and implement modifications adhering to recommendations from state and local officials.

As we put pieces in place for the Fair, we are also looking for project entries. We know it takes a lot of time, whether you are showing livestock, cooking, or crafts. We are working on ways to make it fun, safe and "look and feel" like a Fair.  We are striving to bring you top-notch entertainment in each of the facets that make up our Fair. We offer something for everyone! As the King County Fair Manager, I want to thank you for supporting the oldest fair west of the Mississippi. The annual Fair has served the area for past generations and will continue to be an event to remember for future generations.
